From Prototype to Pin: How a Badge Is Born
People assume badges start with a finished drawing; in practice it is often the reverse — prototype first, drawing later. The equinox badge went through three draft revisions and five dye batches, plus one rework of the gradient order before framing.
Full eleven steps recorded here, with lessons from three reworks: keep dye batch samples, sort tones before gluing, and when doming with Resin, thinner is better.
